ProACNE Solution Scrub Skin peel for acne-prone skin Eucerin ProACNE Solution Scrub is an oil-free skin peel with Lactic Acid that removes impurities without drying out the skin. Suitable for face and body, the exfoliating action of natural micro particles works against dead skin cells − one of the key causes of blackheads and spots − and gently cleanses skin and removes make-up. Pores are unclogged, impurities and blackheads are reduced and skin texture is visibly smooth and refined. The product has been specially formulated for oily and acne prone skin which is not undergoing medication and can be used during pregnancy.

How to Use

Use the scrub once a week, or more frequently if needed, instead of the Cleansing Gel

Step-by-step guide for ProACNE Solution Scrub

Wet your face and/or body. Apply product to your hands (use an amount about the size of a hazel nut). Gently massage onto face and/or body

Rinse thoroughly. Follow with moisturizer

Avoid contact with your eyes. Suitable for daily use

Main findings

The study confirmed: That Eucerin ProACNE Solution Scrub has a very positive effect on general skin condition. That the scrub is very well tolerated by those with acne prone skin or those with mild acne comedonica.
The product’s effectiveness was tested in a six-week study in Germany with a sample of 16 women and 4 men aged between 13 and 34 (average age 18.5 years). It confirmed that the scrub has a very positive effect on general skin condition and is very well tolerated by those with blemish- and acne-prone skin or those with mild acne comedonica.

Clinical Formula

Lactic Acid

Lactic Acid is a skin’s own substance, being an essential component of the NMF (= natural moisturizing factor) as well as a AHA (=Alpha-hydroxy acid).

Lactic Acid  acts in the stratum corneum with a two-fold effect:

  • moisturizing: it reduces skin scaling and balances the skin’s pH value to fight dry skin symptoms
  • comedolytic: it inhibits the formation of comedones by helping the skin to shed and exfoliate and thus the pores from becoming clogged.

Micro particles

These micro particles are fine beads of Lactic Acid and cellulose that gently remove dead skin cells, open the pores and simultaneously refine the skin.

Eucerin has made a significant step towards more environmentally-friendly products and does not use any microbeads made of polyethylene (PE). The cellulose particles that we use are a mixture of microcrystalline cellulose and silicon dioxide particles. These particles are gentle and skin-friendly and deliver the same results as less environmentally-friendly micro plastic alternatives.

FAQ

How often should I use Eucerin DERMOPURE Scrub?

We recommend you use the scrub once a week, instead of the Cleansing Gel. However, due to its mild formula the product is suitable for daily use so you can use it more frequently.

Can I use Eucerin DERMOPURE Scrub alongside the Eucerin DERMOPURE Skin Renewal Treatment?

Yes. You can use the Scrub once a week while using Eucerin DERMOPURE Skin Renewal Treatment.

Do I need to use Eucerin DERMOPURE Cleansing Gel before the Scrub?

No. Use Eucerin DERMOPURE Scrub instead of your usual cleanser but be sure to remove any eye make-up (try Eucerin DERMOPURE Micellar Water) before using the scrub and be careful not to get the scrub in your eyes.

I’ve previously used the Eucerin DermoPurifyer Scrub. What is the difference between that and Eucerin DERMOPURE Scrub?

We’ve changed the fragrance, the name and the packaging. The active ingredients in the formula remain the same.

Is acne caused by poor hygiene?

No. There are a lot of myths surrounding the causes and triggers of acne and poor hygiene is one of them. Blemish-prone skin is not a sign of poor hygiene. On the contrary, washing skin too frequently with aggressive cleansing products can irritate skin even more. We recommend that you cleanse your face twice a day using mild cleansers specially formulated for oily, blemish-prone skin and which clinically and dermatologically proven to remove excess sebum, sweat and dead skin cells without drying skin. It’s also important not to fiddle with your spots and to keep your hands away from your face.
